Differentiation through Technology The standard for instructions exists for a reason. The utilization of standards of instruction secures the teaching practices that are intentionally focused on learning targets, it also promotes high expectations for everyone in the class. The standard-based curriculum also promotes learning, which is based on students’ previous knowledge to comprehend new concepts. The new information becomes meaningful, easier to understand, and makes more sense because an educator connects new concepts to old ones. Some educators instruct differently because they view understanding differently, they are embracing the students of today, who can reimagine tomorrow (TEDxTalks, 2015). The best technology at work we currently have is HyFlex or a Hybrid system to instruct our students.
